Why a Biblical Counseling Ministry?
With over 30 years of combined ministry experience, Jen and Joy have dedicated their lives to serving God and His people. As missionaries working together for close to two decades, we’ve had the privilege of sharing the love of Christ across the globe, witnessing firsthand the transformative power of the Gospel. Our hearts are deeply burdened for those who are lost, bound by life’s challenges, and who are seeking freedom.
We believe that true freedom comes from knowing Christ intimately and walking daily in His truth. Our passion is to see people set free from bondage, healed, and growing as disciples of Jesus, the purpose behind why we have launched our Biblical Counseling ministry.
As Great Commission ministers, we are compelled to make disciples of all nations, training others in the ways of Christ. Our ministry is international, and through current technology, we are committed to reaching the lost and equipping Believers all over the world. Through Biblical Counseling, we can offer Christ’s hope and spiritual healing that embracing God’s Word fully can provide.
Join us in this mission as we seek to fulfill the Lord’s calling, bringing His light into the darkest places, and seeing people move into greater spiritual freedom through the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Jennifer Cook
My name is Jennifer. I came to know the Lord Jesus personally at the age of 12 years. Raised Catholic, my heart yearned for more than I experienced in Sunday services. So my family allowed me to participate one hour weekly in a program through my grade school and a local church entitled “Release Time.” I heard all about Jesus and how He gave everything for me. Profoundly moved, my life was never the same again. In the decades that followed, I regularly attended an evangelical church and developed a strong foundation in Scripture.
By the age of 28, God provided a faithful mentor who helped prepare me to enter the field of missions. And in 2003, shortly after graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Religious Education, I accepted my first field assignment and have been serving the Lord full-time in various locations in the Americas ever since then. Over the last 40 years, my passion for the Word of God, sharing the truth of the scriptures, and discipling others has remained strong. I am grounded in biblical doctrine, a lifelong learner, and am in full-time ministry for over 23 years; I am dedicated to helping people grow spiritually. By leveraging technological advancements with our online Biblical Counseling platform, my colleague and I, in time, aim to reach English speakers around the world.
My love for God and His people drives my passion for reaching the lost, seeing people grow spiritually, witnessing people being set free from spiritual bondage, and honoring and glorifying Jesus in all that I say and do. As the Lord continually blesses us through our obedience these last almost 13 years, I am constantly amazed with how God grows His Kingdom through Joy To The Nations.
Joy Dodd
Hi, I’m Joy. My journey in ministry began when I started teaching the Bible at 12 years old—a passion that has only grown stronger over the years. Although I was raised in a Christian home, my early life was marked by the trauma of an abusive, alcoholic father, which ultimately led to my parents' divorce when I was very young. Though I was deeply wounded, my mother’s unwavering faith and teaching in the Word of God helped me find my strength and healing in Him.

With a Bachelor of Divinity and ongoing studies toward a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I’m committed to serving others both spiritually and practically. Since 2008, I have served as a full-time missionary and I’ve had the privilege of serving short-term in Guatemala and India, and now in Honduras, where I’ve been based full-time since 2011. One of my greatest pleasures is being a spiritual and educational coach at a local island high school. My work in the Bay Islands, specifically Roatán, has opened my eyes to the deep needs of the hopeless and impoverished, fueling my desire to see lives transformed by the Gospel.

This experience, combined with my personal journey of healing, has given me a passion for helping people through biblical counseling—not just in the places I’ve served but all over the world. Thanks to the amazing technology available today, missions, evangelism and discipleship are no longer limited to location-based work. I’m excited to reach people wherever they are, providing the hope and encouragement found in Christ through biblical counseling.
